Where Am I Going Next?

I have moved on …

I am quite excited to tell you that I will be writing a weekly column for the online news publication; GoLocalProv.  It was an opportunity I could not refuse; one where I know I will be comfortable, especially after meeting with Josh Fenton, CEO of GoLocalProv. His enthusiasm was contagious, palpable.

After I left the ProJo, I called my friend Bob Whitcomb, former ProJo editor now writing a marvelous Sunday column for GoLocalProv, to ask what I might do. I wanted to continue writing in the public domain.
“Ed,” he said in his understated way, “You must write for Go Local.”

And here I am, now alongside my friend and mentor and other giants … Scott Turner, John Ghiorse, Mark Curtis and cartoonist R. W. Alley.
GoLocalProv is “From Rhode Islanders and for Rhode Islanders.” That’s it! That’s what I have been doing for the past ten years. Writing for and about Rhode Islanders. What a great fit.

I will be with branded, credible and respected contributors from RI; creating the stories and content with information delivered through multimedia, written, and video platforms.
What a team. Now, do you understand my excitement with this new opportunity? Come along. Enjoy the ride with me.

My column will appear every Monday beginning November 26th.

Will you still be writing your blog or is GoLocalProv the only place where your writing will be seen?

    • Ed November 20, 2018 at 6:06 pm - Reply

Yes, Geri, I will still be writing my blog. The posting schedule may change a bit. Whereas usually, I posted on Monday, now I will likely post on Tuesday what was published on Monday’s GoLocal page.
I plan to host my regular blog on Thursday. Confusing at the initiation, but I think it will work.
I will continue to invite authors. Hope you have more stories.
